Faith Comes By Hearing...

Make His Paths Straight

In 1st Thessalonians 4 we are told that we can all be comforted with the words and the hope of the return of the Lord as we physically meet Him and are then with Him forever. In the meantime, we are beckoned to prepare the way of His coming. We are all on a road and there will be a final destination. The bible tells us that the starting point of the gospel is the call for each individual to prepare their own path (Mark 1:2). Simultaneously there is this “one” voice crying out in the midst of a desolate environment – which is this present temporary life – to also “prepare the path of the Lord” and to even “make his paths straight”. How can we possibly make the Lord’s path straight? What does this mean?
