Fox Hunting

In the Song of Solomon contains a dialog of mutual adoration between two lovers that we see as a type of Jesus and his bride (who is the body of Christ). But in the midst of this dialog in chapter 2 we read this in verse 15: “Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.” We have got to get busy with identifying these foxes that spoil the vines – and do what is said: “Seize them” before the vine truly is spoiled. At the end of the matter Jesus says in Luke 21:19: “in your patience, possess your souls”. Clearly, something other than ourselves can have our souls. These are the foxes that must be hunted down and confronted.
