Faith Comes By Hearing...

Beware of the Wisdom of the Wise

One of the primary tenets of the bible is that things in this world are not really as they appear. Jesus says that the kingdom of God is not something that is observed in the physical but is actually from within (Luke 17:20-21). So therefore, one of the keys to walking with God is not to depend on what we see or hear from the external realm but to rely – by faith – on God’s Word and His promises – as they are eternal and not temporary. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away (Luke 21:33). Now more than ever man’s wisdom, as seen in information and crafts, are billowing up a fever pitch to attempt to enthrall and entrance humans – the aim is put trust and faith in the human spirit which will result in a curse. “This is what the Lord says: Cursed is the man that trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from the Lord.” – Jeremiah 17:5. What does God say about the ‘wisdom of the wise’?
