Faith Comes By Hearing...

Yielding Fruit

And He was saying, “The kingdom of God is like a man who casts seed upon the soil; and he goes to bed at night and gets up by day, and the seed sprouts and grows—how, he himself does not know. The soil produces crops by itself; first the blade, then the head, then the mature grain in the head. But when the crop permits, he immediately puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.” – Mark 4:26-30 Immediately afterward, the Lord speaks another parable about the size of a mustard seed growing into a large tree. The first parable says that fruit (people) is being grown in soil which the soil actually produces. The soil is the environment or atmosphere the fruit (or person) is immersed in. Then when the fruit is ready the fruit is yielded up in the harvest. The yielded fruit (person) is ripened based on the faith of the person. Faith is coupled with grace and works that are generated based on how much of the nature of Christ is grown in us. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” – John 14:12
